Do I need a Passport?: Please click here for information on required travel documention needed to board the ship. This years cruise does NOT require a passport for US Citizens. . If you do not have a passport, you will need a certified copy of your state issued birth certificate with valid government issued photo i.d.
Do I need vaccinations? No.
However, if you are from a high risk area, such as Africa, please check your travel requirements through the travel advisory link about, or contact your local government office. Passengers from the US, Canada, or Europe do not need vaccinations.
How much are drinks on the ship?
About 5.75 to 7.00 Each. Daily drink specials are about 3.75.
Bottle of beer about 3.00 each.
Soft drinks are not included in your cruise fare, however you can purchase an unlimited soft drink card for about 38.00 per person. This gives you unlimited soda's throughout your cruise.
About how many people are going to be at this event?
Around 600. But more is always better!! There is no limit beyond what the ship can hold - and the ship can hold 3,758 people at Maximum Occupancy.
Is everyone booking shore excursions as a group?
Each port will have shore excursions chosen as All Genre's top pick. However, not everyone may want the same excursion. Other shore excursions will be set up so that you may travel with your fellow cruisers. Shore excursions will not be available for booking until we are 7 months prior to the cruise date.
Are there nongoths onboard?
Yes. All of the goth cruise events have security. If they have not booked through All Genre Travel, they will not be allowed to attend these events. All events of the Gothic Cruise are private.
Not everyone booking this event will be gothic. We have alot of Industrial fans of VNV Nation booking as well.
Will I get Seasick?
Possibly. Most passengers do not have a problem with seasicknesses. Bringing Dramamine is recommended if your not sure. If you get seasick and need to visit the infirmary - your insurance will reimburse you. Seasick bands are also recommended for those prone to seasickness.
Where do I fly into?
If you are booking your own flights, you will need to fly into the Orlando Airport (Airport Code MCO). Your flight must arrive BY 1:00PM On October 6th. Your return flight home on October 13th must depart after 2 :00pm. Roundtrip ground transfers are available at 70.00 per person roundtrip. If you book your airfare through Carnival Cruise Lines - your ground transfers are include.
What about the pre and post cruise parties??
There will be a 1 night Pre Cruise party on October 5th, and a 1 night Post Cruise party on October 13th. The cost is 99.00 per person, for each night.
Pre Cruise Party Includes: Hotel, Dinner, Airport shuttle, Roundtrip transfers to the ship, free parking for 7 nights for those that are driving in. All taxes, Hotel gratuities.
Post Cruise Party Includes: Hotel, Dinner, Breakfast, Airport shuttle, taxes, hotel gratuities.
I am taking someone to watch my kids, and they are not attending ANY gothic events, can I book a cheaper cabin for them?
Yes. You can book a cheaper cabin for kids traveling with an adult over 25. Those passengers will not be admitted to any gothic event, and will not be assigned a cabin within our block of space. This means they may be on a different deck then you, or on the same deck, but on the otherside of the ship. You do have the option of booking your cabin away from the group if you choose to be near your other NON-goth cruise cabins. NOTE: if you choose this option, you have the choice of dining with the other cabin, or dining with the group.

When do I have to book by? Now.
You must deposit at the time of booking. Once our initial allotment of blocked space is booked, more cabins will be added at the current prices at that time. The closer we get to the sailing date, the higher the prices will go.
Is there tipping?
Yes. Tips run about 10.00 per person per day.
Tips are not included in your cruise fare. You CAN prepay your tips prior to the cruise at 70.00 per person.
What else is not included in the Cruise Fare?
Spa Services, Alcohol, Soft Drinks, Airfare/Transfers (unless purchased seperately), Cruise Tips, Shore Excursions, or other optiional services.
What is included?
All meals, snacks, buffets, room service, coffee, tea, juice, milk, nonbottled water, shipboard entertianment, all gothic cruise events, shipboard credit, free bottle of wine, free exclusive VNV Nation CD (it wont be sold to the public), autograph session, and all taxes. Please see the pricing screen for all goth cruise inclusions.
What is shipboard credit?
Free money on your onboard account to spend on the ship. You can buy drinks, gift shop purchases, etc. The shipboard credit for this cruise, is 50.00 per person for the first two passengers in a cabin - up to 100.00 per cabin.
How are purchases made onboard the ship?
The ship does not take cash. All onboard purchases are charged to your sail and sign card. (Onboard account). You will need a credit card at check in, and all purchases are charged to that. If you do not have a credit card, or card with a visa/mastercard logo, you will need to put down a cash deposit. For a 7 night cruise, the minimum cash deposit is 300.00 per person. If you are doing a cash deposit, it is HIGHLY recommended that you prepay your cruise tips before departing on your cruise.
Is airfare available with the cruise line?
Yes. When purchasing airfare through the cruiseline, roundtrip trip transfers between the airport and ship are included. If attending the precruise party at the hotel, the cruise line will provide transportation between the airport, hotel, and the cruise line.
I have to bring my kids - are there any events they can attend with me?
Carnival has a great kids program called Camp Carnival, and it is FREE. You can enjoy the fashion show with children over the age of 5. However, the fashion show is RATED PG13! If your children are disruptive during the show, you will be asked to take them to Camp Carnival. Carnival also has onboard IN CABIN babysittying service's which are an additional charge. You can eat dinner with your children, however parents traveling with minors will be seated with the same, on the edge of the group, as opposed to the center. If your children become disruptive, you will be asked to take them to Camp Carnival. Camp Carnival does run during our formal dinners. Minors under the age of 18 will not be allowed into any other event.
These parameters were set for parents traveling with children - as many people cannot get someone to sit with their children for a full week. However please keep in mind, these are events are ADULT in nature. |
